David Mark Greaves

President


​Born in Brooklyn, Attended Brooklyn's Wingate High School, Syracuse University (BA) & Columbia University (MFA).
As a filmmaker with his father William Greaves, David has worked on dozens of films which have won over 40 international film festival awards & 3 Emmy nominations.  Among the films are documentaries such as From These Roots about the Harlem Renaissance, Voice of La Raza with Anthony Quinn, and Nationtime Gary: the First Black Political Convention. Greaves was a production manager and assistant editor of The Fight of the Century: Ali/Frazier. A documentary about the first Muhammad Ali-Joe Frazier fight.  The film broke new ground, being the first to use 12 cameras to document a heavyweight championship fight.  He was also co-editor of Symbiopsychotaxiplasm Take 1, a feature film done in 1968 which is now getting extensive art house attention.

As a Project Manager with Mega Van & Storage, Greaves supervised the world's largest corporate move, the consolidation of 10,000 people for American Express to the World Financial Center followed by supervising the move of 5,000 people for Shearson Lehman Brothers to 399 Greenwich and thousands more for a long list of corporate clients.

Mr. Greaves is the founder, publisher and editor-in-chief for Our Time Press, a weekly tabloid printing 20,000 copies each Thursday, Mr. Greaves has won numerous awards from the New York Association of Black Journalists and the New York Independent Press Association as well as community recognition from Bedford Stuyvesant Community Legal Services, Restoration Safe Haven and other community based organizations. Our Time Press, is in its 21st year of printing. Greaves is also the author of A The Sycamore Tree @ a children's book.

Mr. Greaves is President of DBG Media Publishers of Our Time Press, Inc. and President of the Board of Directors of the Magnolia Tree Earth of Bedford-Stuyvesant, a 40-year-old environmental institution and a member of the New York Press Association. He is married to Bernice Elizabeth Green, a co-founder of Our Time Press. The couple first met while attending J.H.S. 258, now David Ruggles School, in Brooklyn, NY.
