Nancy A. Wolf
Vice President/Treasurer
Ms. Wolf began her career as a high school teacher of social sciences; after Earth Day, she became involved in the creation of what became known as the "environmental movement". As an employee and, later, Executive Director of Environmental Action Coalition (EAC), she helped to create the first body of work in urban environmental education, writing and editing curriculum materials, team-teaching in classrooms and workshops, and developing a myriad of projects.
EAC was a co-founding organization of the National Alliance for Community Trees and the NYS Urban and Community Forestry Council, working closely with federal, state and local agencies, private sector companies and non-profit institutions in sponsorship of urban forestry programs and projects.
Ms. Wolf was later the Executive Director of the Forestry Council. She has also been active in volunteer endeavors, including assisting in the founding of Magnolia Tree Earth Center and serving on the Boards of the Environmental Education Advisory Council, the Brooklyn Heights Association, the First Unitarian Church of Brooklyn and Community Board 2 in Brooklyn.
Ms. Wolf received a BA from Hollins College in Roanoke, Virginia, a Certificate in Secondary Education from The College of William and Mary and a Master of Liberal Arts from Johns Hopkins University.
